Not sure how I feel about this book。 Overall， I"m going to say， bad。Sloane was the sidekick in the previous book， where she was super annoying。 Now she's the star， and is pretty good in that role， especially the first half。 She gets kidnapped by the Irish mob because of the role she supposedly played in a gang war between the Irish and Russian mobs。 The first half is fun because she's mouthy and perplexes the hell out of everyone including her kidnapper， Irish mobster Declan。 The book starts to Not sure how I feel about this book。 Overall， I"m going to say， bad。Sloane was the sidekick in the previous book， where she was super annoying。 Now she's the star， and is pretty good in that role， especially the first half。 She gets kidnapped by the Irish mob because of the role she supposedly played in a gang war between the Irish and Russian mobs。 The first half is fun because she's mouthy and perplexes the hell out of everyone including her kidnapper， Irish mobster Declan。 The book starts to lose the plot when it becomes mostly about sex， and it's entirely too BDSMy for my taste。 You can see Geissinger really straining to make whips， chains， kneeling and humiliation seem empowering， but sorry， I don't。 Even if our heroine expresses what a big feminist she is and how she reconciles it with this sexual stupidity， I can't。 Moreover， this notion of women who find violent， posessessive creepy guys hot is。。。 lost on me。 I recognize such women exist。 I just don't care to see them as lead of a romance novel。 OK， so moral of story for me is no more mob romances。 I liked Beautifully Cruel， and thought I'd like other characters from the same universe。 I did not。 This whole thing was disturbing and sort of gross。So if you like mob romances and BDSM， you might like this？ Otherwise， eh。2。5 stars when I average out a strong first half and a gross second half。 。。。more

4。6 starsOne of my favorite books this year。 From the first paragraph until the very last， this author kept me on my toes with some of the best characters that she has written。 I found myself smiling throughout the book and laughing out loud quite often which is a feat because this is not a comedy romance。Declan was just as I pictured he was going to be; alpha， possessive， kinky， and grumpy。 However， those were not the selling points of what made him gorgeous， in this case， it was all the intera 4。6 starsOne of my favorite books this year。 From the first paragraph until the very last， this author kept me on my toes with some of the best characters that she has written。 I found myself smiling throughout the book and laughing out loud quite often which is a feat because this is not a comedy romance。Declan was just as I pictured he was going to be; alpha， possessive， kinky， and grumpy。 However， those were not the selling points of what made him gorgeous， in this case， it was all the interactions with Sloane。 Whether it was how he responded to the bantering himself， how his men interacted with her， or even text messages， it made his normally grumpy and gangster self that much more alluring。 I loved every part of it。 However， this book would not have been what it was without Sloane。 One of my favorite characters， ever， that had me eating every word just to get a glimpse of how she was going to turn the situation into something positive。 I loved her empathetic side and how she came to be the person that she was。 She was genuine and pure joy。Even though the bantering was a huge part of the story， and what I focused on a lot of the time， what was most impressive was that the author kept the storyline alive throughout moments of levity。 This was not a comedy by any stretch which made me appreciate how the author was able to still balance a story like this while still making me laugh。A great addition to this series。 As always， I am anxious to see where the author goes next。 。。。more

This is book two Queen & Mosters。 We meet Sloane in book one。 Declan who is the head of Irish Mafia。 This book was intriguing。 Sloane and Declan chemistry was amazing。 I love this series。

I’m going to start by saying I loved the first book Ruthless creatures （Kage and Natalie）， Its deco take a 5 star， but that book doesn’t hold a candle to Carnal Urges。 Carnal Urges is officially going on my top favorite books。The minute I read the first book I knew Sloane was going to be my favorite。 She’s confident， calm in the face of danger， and eats men up and spits them out。 I knew I needed more of her character。 I knew she was going to be amazing， but I had no idea she would be this amazin I’m going to start by saying I loved the first book Ruthless creatures （Kage and Natalie）， Its deco take a 5 star， but that book doesn’t hold a candle to Carnal Urges。 Carnal Urges is officially going on my top favorite books。The minute I read the first book I knew Sloane was going to be my favorite。 She’s confident， calm in the face of danger， and eats men up and spits them out。 I knew I needed more of her character。 I knew she was going to be amazing， but I had no idea she would be this amazing。 If you looked up the definition of badass Female character she would be in， and I’m completely in love with it。 Sloane has been through some of the hardest things a female could go through， and has come out as this beautiful， intelligentQueen of a person。It takes a special man to be able to hold someone like Sloane’s interest， and Declan is just that。 He smart and quick witted and can give it back， as much as Sloane can dish it out。 The banter he and Sloane have was so much fun， I love a good back and fourth。 Declan is extremely possessive and as Sloane says just as dramatic。 He’s totally perfect for her， and does try and out out her flame。 These two had me laughing， smiling， swooning， and anxious。 This book will defiantly give you the feels， and over all make your fall in love with them。 This is more of an action romance， with some thrill along the way。 I was constantly on the edge of my seat waiting for the ball to drop， which it did at the end of the book。 There is a jaw dropping scenes at the end of this one and I defiantly need more， as I anxiously wait to see what happens next in this world。 I could talk about this book all day but you should read it for yourself！ I cannot recommend this enough， I feel like you all should read it。 。。。more
